Mrs. Smtih

Hello everyone!  I am

originally from Nevada

City, CA where I grew

up with my parents and

two loving dogs.  I

graduated from Nevada

Union High School and attended college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.  I graduated from Cal Poly in 2014 with my B.S. in Liberal Studies and a Minor in Dance.  From there, I continued my education at the University of California, Davis where I received my Multiple Subjects credential with a supplementary authorization in Social Studies.  In March of 2016 I completed my Masters in Education from UC Davis.

All of these experiences I bring with me into the classroom.  I highly value and respect my students, doing my best to meet their needs on a daily basis.  I welcome my students' opinions, and strive to provide them with choices that allow them to cultivate their passions.  I am wholeheartedly committed to my job as an educator.

Aside from education my other passions include slalom water skiing, dance, and exploring the outdoors.  I enjoy mountain bike riding, fishing, backpacking and traveling!  Most of all, I love spending time with my wonderful family and husband.

You can send me an email on the "Contact" page of this site.

ABOUT US

3rd Grade

Welcome to 3rd grade!  This year we will learn, grow, and have fun together.

In our class we have 3 personal expectations:

1. Show Respect

2. Make Good Decisions

3. Solve Problems

Throughout the year we will be discussing and practicing each of these things.  It is important that 3rd graders begin to think about their actions and reflect upon the choices they make.  This year, students will learn that they can largely determine their happiness and success by the choices they make.

In order for growth to take place, it is critical that we build and maintain a safe and caring classroom environment.  Each student's commitment to the 3 personal expectations will help us to create a positive environment.
